My one week of autumn holiday is coming to an end, and looking back, I feel grateful for the simple moments that made this little break from work so enjoyable.
I started my holiday by meeting friends, which was a lovely way to begin my time off. After that, I also made plenty of time for myself at home and enjoyed having a slower pace without the usual work routine.
One of the things I enjoyed most was building this Lego flower arrangement. I could have completed it in a single day, but I deliberately chose to take three days, building a little each day and enjoying the process instead of rushing towards the finished result. There was something very relaxing about sitting down, concentrating on the small pieces and watching everything slowly come together.

When I started building it, I had bought a blue vase especially for these flowers, and you can see it in some of my building process pictures. But as I gradually put the flowers together and saw the different colours and sizes, I started thinking about how they would look as a complete arrangement. I already had another vase where I had placed my pink Lego roses. After switching the flowers around and replacing the roses with this new arrangement, I actually liked both Lego flower displays much more. The colours and different sizes seemed to work better together in their new settings. Sometimes, a small change can make everything look completely different.

The autumn colours in these flowers made the whole project even more enjoyable, and I wanted to share some pictures of the building process and the finished arrangement with you.

During the week, I also watched some excellent films, including a few chosen by my son. I managed to get some house chores done, spent time with family, and simply enjoyed having time away from the usual routine. I am also looking forward to meeting another family member on Sunday before my holiday comes to an end.
The sunny days of autumn will soon be behind us, and winter is already on its way. That makes me appreciate every bit of sunshine and daylight we still get during these remaining autumn days. Sitting in my lounge with a cup of tea and feeling the warmth of the sunlight coming through the windows has been one of those simple pleasures I have really enjoyed this week.

I am not particularly fond of the cold, dark winter weather, but I still look forward to the beauty it brings. There is something fascinating about seeing the world covered in snow, with everything becoming so quiet and peaceful. I especially love the way the houses look from outside in the darkness, with warm lights glowing through the windows. The combination of white snow outside, the darkness of the evening and the soft golden light shining from inside the homes creates such a lovely charm. It is a scene I never get tired of seeing.
This short holiday has been a lovely little break from work, giving me time to slow down, enjoy simple activities and create some good memories.
How do you like to spend a short holiday or break from work? Iโd love to hear about the little things that make your time off special.๐๐๐งก
