The Beauty of Reflections

Whenever I come across a lovely reflection on water, I find myself stopping to take a photograph. It might be a house beside a canal, a castle across the water or trees surrounding a peaceful lake. I always enjoy seeing how the water captures the surrounding scenery and creates a reflection of its own.

I particularly enjoy how reflections change with the light and surroundings. On a sunny day, the water can mirror the blue sky and green trees, while at sunset, it takes on beautiful shades of orange, red and gold. Early mornings offer something different, especially when mist hangs above the water and the trees appear almost perfectly mirrored on its surface.

Some reflections are so clear that it is difficult to tell where the real scene ends and its reflection begins. Others become softer and more interesting when gentle ripples move across the water.

The photographs in this collection were taken in different places in Denmark and Sweden. Looking through them, I realised how many lovely reflections I had captured without even planning to. Each one brings back a different view and a little memory of the places I have visited.
